Western Counties Seminar January 2009

Please add date to your diaries. We are planning another coaches conference.
We were disappointed last year that we unable to deliver a coaches conference, especially as the one held in January 07 was such a success and well received, by all. But with your continued support of the squads and the shows being held at the Bristol Sporting Club, we are now in a position to try again.
We are still in the planning stage but, hoping to have Mick Gannon England Coach and Richie Woodhall; Olympic bronze medallist Seoul 1988; WBC Super Middleweight Champion of the World;BBC Boxing Commentator, to present a talk on a range of subjects to include:
Nutrition
Weight management
The changes required to adjust to 3x3 rounds

When we have more details we shall add to the blog, but in the mean time keep this day free.

Tutors Courses Exeter and Bristol

Due to popular demand, on a first come first served basis, Q Shillingford, will be venturing into the Western Counties again to conduct two Tutors courses.

Coaching course October 08

This course for both assistants and full coaching course are now full. I will continue to take names for the reserve list, in case there are any 'drop outs' .
Those accepted on the course will be getting a letter of confirmation in the next few days.
The next anticipated course will be in June/July 09 and will be the new VRQ coaching course. No dates or confirmation of content has yet been established, but as soon as it has... yes you guessed it will be on the blog!!!

Hi All,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner just got back from Holiday.
The squad is still taking place on Sunday 7th September, 10 am Broadplain. All boxers who attended squad training last season are invited. If coaches believe they have boxers who should be attending ring me or email normally minimum of 10 bouts. (07888678487. devonportabc@aol.com )
Also selecting the boxers from Sundays squad for the match against the
Royal Navy 13th October . So if your boxer wants to represent the Western Counties they must attend.

To download ME1 forms and Tournament application forms please follow link on right 'Western Counties ABA contacts' and then find tournament form link or ME1 link.
When using ME1 please remember they must be returned to Dennis Stichcombe, in complete form (all four pages) and legible, along with copy of birth certificate and two passport photo's. Also ensure form is filled in black ink. Incomplete or illegible forms will not be processed. Fee this year for registering each boxer if £9.50
Tournament forms when competed must be returned to your divisional secretary with appropriate payment.
